International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

The International English Language Testing System, commonly known as IELTS is an international standardised test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. It was started in 1980.

IELTS is one of the Major English-language tests in the world. There are 4 modules on the basis of which candidates are assessed i.e Listening: 40 minutes, Reading: 60 minutes, Writing: 60 minutes and Speaking: 11-14 minutes, Total duration: 2 hours 55 minutes.
